Principled
In order to be a principled person, or display a principled behavior, you must act with morality or show recognition of right and wrong. When I think of a principled individual, I think of someone who displays all of the characteristics previously mentioned in earlier tabs. They should be open minded, thinkers, and everything in between.

One evening, my freshman year of high school I was reading the novel “The Catcher In The Rye” by Rick Riordan, on my long journey back home. I read for my literature class, because we had to discuss and reflect on the chapter that he read the previous night. I had just come from football practice, but I naturally didn’t want to fall behind in class, so I decided to pick up my book and read on the bus. I went home, as I do everyday, ate, then picked up my phone. As I put in my password, my phone lit up with notifications. Apparently someone had taken a picture of my brother and I reading our books on the bus. They posted it on Facebook with the caption, “The only thing more dangerous than a black man with a gun, is a young black man with a book”. I couldn’t believe it, it had gotten a few hundred likes, and shares. I had gotten recognized for my determination. To me, this was a normal activity; go to practice, do your homework, and go home. But to the outside world, this was inspiration. I was recognized for being principled.
